How to ship perfume
Fragrance contains alcohol, so it moves by ground. Obsidia does not offer air shipping. This page is how an Obsidia order is labeled. It is not a substitute for the carrier's own rules.
What the label does
At checkout, the buyer pays the ground label price. For a fragrance parcel, Obsidia asks USPS for a rate that declares the contents, so that USPS label prints the required mark. UPS, FedEx, and other ground services are quoted on a separate request, which is why they can still appear. Accessory-only parcels are quoted once, without that declaration.
The seller still packs the box and applies the marks that carrier requires. Buying the label in the app does not remove that step.
The ship-by window
The usual deadline is 72 hours from the order. Tracking is attached to the order when the label is created. After delivery, the buyer has 48 hours to inspect the package or open a dispute. Details are on Trust.
What not to do
- Do not ship perfume by air.
- Do not describe a fragrance parcel as something else to get a cheaper or faster service.
- Do not skip the box marks your carrier requires.
Sellers who are away can turn on vacation mode so listings are hidden, or so buyers see the date shipping resumes. A hidden listing cannot be purchased.
